The Bhumisparsha or the Bhusparsa (earth touching) Mudra (posture or pose) of Akshobhya, formed by his right hand, is the earth-touching gesture that denotes unshakability. Akshobhya is regarded as the second Dhyani Buddha by the Nepalese Buddhists He rules over the element of water, and represents the primordial cosmic element of consciousness. Akshobhya originates from the blue syllable Hum, and his mantra is Om Akshobhya Hum. His left hand rests on the lap, while the right rest on the right knee with the tip of the middle fingers touching the ground with palm drawn inwardly.
